As part of this effort, seven tactile panels developed under the “QIR – Wanting to Include is Heritage!” project are now integrated into the museum route. These resources were designed to be enjoyed by blind and low-vision visitors, as well as by families, groups, and anyone wishing to experience heritage through a multisensory and inclusive approach.

Centro Helen Keller, COOLture Tours, GAPNA – Friends of the National Palace of Ajuda Group, the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, Shine a Life, and Time Travellers.
On the occasion of European Heritage Days 2026 — “Heritage at Risk: Revive, Resist, Reimagine” — which this year invites reflection on the challenges threatening cultural heritage and the importance of making it relevant, accessible, and meaningful for everyone, the National Palace of Ajuda marks the date by introducing new tactile mediation resources along its exhibition route.
